Day 01
Arrival in Cairo

Private airport transfer to your Cairo hotel.

Day 02
Cairo — Pyramids, Sphinx & Egyptian Museum

▸ Egyptian Museum of Antiquities: Home to over 250,000 artifacts spanning 5,000 years of ancient Egyptian civilization — including the breathtaking Tutankhamun treasure room, royal mummies, and priceless golden jewelry.

▸ Great Pyramids & Sphinx: The last remaining wonder of the ancient world — three iconic royal tombs rising from the Giza Plateau, built over 4,500 years ago. The Great Pyramid of Cheops is the tallest and most colossal structure ever built by human hands. Enjoy a panoramic camel ride with breathtaking views of the Pyramids and Sphinx. Your Egyptologist will share exclusive insider knowledge unavailable in any guidebook.

✦ Optional: Sound & Light Show at the Pyramids.

Day 03
Fly to Aswan — Board Your Dahabiya

▸ Temple of Philae: A beautifully restored temple complex on an island in the Nile, dedicated to the goddess Isis. The temples were painstakingly relocated stone-by-stone to save them from rising Nile waters.

▸ Aswan High Dam: A modern engineering masterpiece completed in 1970, the Aswan High Dam controls the Nile's floods and generates much of Egypt's electricity. The views of Lake Nasser from the dam are spectacular. Stroll through Aswan Bazaar. Board your Dahabiya — the Captain and crew welcome you aboard and your bags are taken to your private cabin. Lunch on board. Set sail north, listening to the sounds of the riverbank as you glide past villages, water buffalo, and ancient temples. Sail towards Esna and Kom Ombo.

Day 04
Dahabiya — Kom Ombo & Gebel el-Silsila

▸ Greco-Roman Temple of Kom Ombo: A unique double temple perched dramatically above the Nile, equally dedicated to two gods: Sobek the crocodile god and Haroeris (Horus the Elder). An on-site museum displays ancient mummified crocodiles.

▸ Gebel el-Silsila (Speos of Hormheb): An extraordinary and rarely visited ancient site — rock-cut shrines and inscriptions carved directly into the cliffs of the Nile gorge, accessible only by boat. Dinner may be served in the illuminated temple grounds.

Day 05
Dahabiya — Edfu & Farewell Dinner on the Nile

▸ Temple of Horus at Edfu: Egypt's best-preserved ancient temple, dedicated to Horus the falcon god. Its towering entrance pylon and detailed reliefs make it one of the most impressive examples of Ptolemaic Egyptian architecture. Arrive at Edfu by horse carriage — a charming local experience. Browse the colorful Edfu bazaar. Set sail for an island on the Nile for a special dinner served on the riverbank or on the upper sun deck under the stars — Egyptian cuisine, Arabic music, and a traditional Galabya evening.

Day 06
Disembark at Esna — Luxor Sightseeing

Bid farewell to the crew and transfer to Luxor for an unforgettable day:

▸ Valley of the Kings — King Tutankhamun's Tomb: Enter the actual burial chamber of the boy king. Your Egyptologist will share the lesser-known facts about Tutankhamun's remarkable life and the dramatic story of Howard Carter's 1922 discovery.

▸ Temple of Queen Hatshepsut: The dramatic mortuary temple of ancient Egypt's greatest female ruler, cut into the Theban cliffs at Deir el-Bahari. Queen Hatshepsut ruled Egypt for 20 years and is celebrated as one of its most successful pharaohs.

▸ Colossi of Memnon: Two towering 18-metre statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have stood watch over the Theban necropolis for over 3,400 years, now one of Luxor's most photographed landmarks.

▸ Karnak Temple Complex: The world's largest ancient religious complex, dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Its Great Hypostyle Hall — filled with 134 massive columns — is an architectural wonder still awe-inspiring today.

Fly to Cairo.

Day 07
Alexandria — Mediterranean Day Trip

▸ Bibliotheca Alexandrina: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina — a spectacular modern tribute to the ancient Library of Alexandria, once the greatest repository of knowledge in the ancient world. The building itself is an architectural icon.

▸ Qaitbay Citadel: A 15th-century fortress built on the precise location of the ancient Pharos Lighthouse — one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It commands dramatic views over the Mediterranean. Also visit: Montaza Palace Gardens, Abu el-Abbas Mosque, St. Mark's Church (oldest in Africa), and the historic Stanley Bridge.

Day 08
Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for final departure.
