Tour plan

Day 01
Arrival in Cairo

Private airport welcome and transfer to your Cairo hotel.

Day 02
Cairo — Pyramids, Sphinx & Egyptian Museum

▸ Egyptian Museum of Antiquities: Home to over 250,000 artifacts spanning 5,000 years of ancient Egyptian civilization — including the breathtaking Tutankhamun treasure room, royal mummies, and priceless golden jewelry.

▸ Great Pyramids & Sphinx: The last remaining wonder of the ancient world — three iconic royal tombs rising from the Giza Plateau, built over 4,500 years ago. The Great Pyramid of Cheops is the tallest and most colossal structure ever built by human hands.

✦ Optional: Sound & Light Show at the Pyramids.

Day 03
Fly to Aswan — Board Your Nile Cruise

▸ Aswan High Dam: A modern engineering masterpiece completed in 1970, the Aswan High Dam controls the Nile's floods and generates much of Egypt's electricity. The views of Lake Nasser from the dam are spectacular.

▸ Temple of Philae: A beautifully restored temple complex on an island in the Nile, dedicated to the goddess Isis. The temples were painstakingly relocated stone-by-stone to save them from rising Nile waters. Board your Nile cruise for lunch.

📌 Note: Cruise schedules may occasionally vary for nautical reasons. Egypt Go Travel guarantees all listed sights will be visited.

Day 04
Cruise — Kom Ombo & Edfu

▸ Twin Temple of Kom Ombo: A unique double temple perched dramatically above the Nile, equally dedicated to two gods: Sobek the crocodile god and Haroeris (Horus the Elder). An on-site museum displays ancient mummified crocodiles.

▸ Temple of Horus at Edfu: Egypt's best-preserved ancient temple, dedicated to Horus the falcon god. Its towering entrance pylon and detailed reliefs make it one of the most impressive examples of Ptolemaic Egyptian architecture. Galabya party dinner on board. Sail towards Luxor.

Day 05
Cruise — Luxor

Cross the Esna lock and arrive in Luxor.

✦ Optional: Luxor East Bank — Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple.

▸ Karnak Temple Complex: The world's largest ancient religious complex, dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Its Great Hypostyle Hall — filled with 134 massive columns — is an architectural wonder still awe-inspiring today.

▸ Luxor Temple: Built by Amenhotep III and completed by Ramesses II, this elegant riverside temple was dedicated to the god Amun-Ra. Its towering pylons and soaring columns glow magnificently at night.

Day 06
Luxor West Bank — Fly to Cairo

▸ Valley of the Kings: The royal burial ground of Egypt's most powerful New Kingdom pharaohs, where over 60 decorated tombs have been discovered, including those of Tutankhamun, Ramesses VI, and Thutmosis III.

▸ Temple of Queen Hatshepsut: The dramatic mortuary temple of ancient Egypt's greatest female ruler, cut into the Theban cliffs at Deir el-Bahari. Queen Hatshepsut ruled Egypt for 20 years and is celebrated as one of its most successful pharaohs.

▸ Colossi of Memnon: Two towering 18-metre statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have stood watch over the Theban necropolis for over 3,400 years, now one of Luxor's most photographed landmarks.

✦ Optional: Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride over Luxor's West Bank.

Fly to Cairo. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 07
Alexandria — Mediterranean Gem

▸ Bibliotheca Alexandrina: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina — a spectacular modern tribute to the ancient Library of Alexandria, once the greatest repository of knowledge in the ancient world. The building itself is an architectural icon.

▸ Qaitbay Citadel: A 15th-century fortress built on the precise location of the ancient Pharos Lighthouse — one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It commands dramatic views over the Mediterranean. Also visit: the Abu el-Abbas Mosque, Montaza Palace Gardens, and the historic Stanley Bridge. Drive along the stunning 30 km Corniche with views of the Mediterranean.

📌 Note: Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays and public holidays.

Day 08
