2 Pyramid Complex of Khafre | 45 Minutes · Admission Included

The One That Still Wears Its Crown. The Pyramid of Khafre is the second-largest at Giza — built on a raised plateau, an architectural illusion that makes it appear taller than his father’s. Your guide will explain this clever visual trick, along with the mortuary temples, causeways, and ritual spaces that surrounded each pyramid.

3 Inside the Pyramid of Menkaure | 60 Minutes · Entry Included

The experience most tours do not include — and the one guests remember most. You will crouch through a narrow descending passage carved into the bedrock, leading to the king’s burial chamber deep within the heart of the pyramid. Your guide will bring this moment to life, telling the story of Menkaure, his queens, and what archaeologists discovered when they first entered this sealed space in modern times.

4 Valley Temple of Khafre | 45 Minutes · Admission Included

Where Pharaohs Were Prepared for Eternity. Connected to the Great Sphinx by an ancient causeway, the Valley Temple of Khafre is one of the best-preserved ancient Egyptian temples in existence. Built from enormous blocks of pink Aswan granite, this temple served as the place where the pharaoh’s body was ritually cleansed and prepared for eternity. Your guide will explain the 70-day mummification process and the religious beliefs that drove the Egyptians to build on such an incredible scale.

5 The Great Sphinx | 45 Minutes · Admission Included

Guardian of Giza — the World’s Largest Ancient Sculpture. Carved from a single ridge of natural limestone, the Great Sphinx measures 73 metres long and 20 metres high. Your Egyptologist will share the ongoing debates about who built it, what secrets may still be buried beneath its paws, and the real story behind the missing nose.

Tip: Best photos from the eastern-facing panoramic viewpoint, with both the Sphinx and pyramids behind it in a single frame.

6 Saqqara — Step Pyramid of Djoser | 2 Hours · Admission Included

The World’s First Stone Building. The Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara predates the Great Pyramid by over a century — built by the legendary architect Imhotep around 2650 BC. Rising in six monumental steps to a height of 62 metres, this is where ancient Egypt made its first great leap from mastaba tombs to the sky. The surrounding funerary complex contains beautifully preserved temples, ceremonial courtyards, and decorated chambers that tell the story of the Old Kingdom at its most creative. Your Egyptologist guide will explain how this single structure changed the course of architecture forever.

7 Memphis Open-Air Museum | 2 Hours · Admission Included

Capital of the Ancient World. Memphis was the first capital of unified Egypt, founded by Pharaoh Narmer around 3100 BC and the most powerful city in the ancient world for over a thousand years. The open-air museum houses extraordinary treasures: the magnificent recumbent Colossus of Ramesses II — a colossal limestone statue of Egypt’s greatest pharaoh — and the awe-inspiring Sphinx of Memphis, carved from a single block of alabaster. Your guide will bring the story of Memphis to life, from its founding by the first pharaoh to its role as a centre of trade, religion, and royal power across thirty dynasties.

Tip: The alabaster Sphinx of Memphis is one of Egypt’s most perfectly preserved ancient sculptures — extraordinary up close.
